Our Facility The best way to enjoy a trouble-free day of boating is through education and preparation. We offer a wide-range of training opportunities for all levels of boaters and technicians. Our team of trainers has a combined experience of over 100 years with Yanmar Diesel engines. Training classes range from a 8-hour owner's maintenance class to intensive week-long military “Train the Trainer” courses. Our on-site training facility seats 30 students and covers a variety of engines and control setups to maximize the hands-on learning experience.
 Our host for the Owner’s Class is Captain Rick Myrick. Rick worked for Mastry Engine Center for 20 years before leaving in February 2010 to open a Yanmar dealership. His last position was Dealer Development and Training Coordinator. Prior to joining us, he worked for Traditional Watercraft where he learned how to build boats from the ground up. During his 3 years there, he had the opportunity to install over 50 Yanmar engines. This experience is so valuable to his training skills today. Rick, a Florida native, has held his captains license for 13 years and he enjoys being on the water. His passion for boating, combined with his enthusiasm as an educator ensures every class is as enjoyable as it is informative. |
