Liquid-Cooled Electric Power for Boats Up to 11 Meters
The VETUS E-LINE 11kW (ELINE110) is a liquid-cooled model in the E-LINE range, built for longer trips and heavier loads: a 48 V brushless induction motor with a maximum continuous input power of 11.3 kW and a peak input power of 13.3 kW, driving the propeller shaft directly at up to 1600 rpm. VETUS indicates it for boats up to 11 m (36 ft) or 7 t.
Built for repowers. VETUS designed the E-LINE to replace the diesel engine in an existing boat as readily as to go into a new build. Swap & Go brackets and adjustable mounts let it sit on the existing motor foundation, the thrust bearing is integrated, and a 4-inch mounting flange suits Combiflex 12 and Bullflex type 1 couplings on the existing propeller shaft. There is no gearbox: the motor drives the shaft directly.
Silent, and in control. The E-LINE runs without noise, vibration or emissions. Active Electronic Braking brings the boat to a stop faster and gives precise control when docking, and the system runs on V-CAN, VETUS's own CAN-bus control network, with a dedicated monitoring panel for battery status, system condition and alerts. It is liquid-cooled, for consistent performance on longer trips and heavier loads, with a choice of VETUS's closed-circuit keel cooling set (EDKCSET) for salt or muddy water, or its fresh water cooling set (EDFWSET).
What is supplied. The motor comes with Swap & Go motor brackets and EMX65 motor mounts, the integrated thrust bearing, the 4-inch mounting flange, the MPE1KB key switch, the MPE1MBV monitoring panel and the IV4812360 converter for the 12 VDC V-CAN supply. A V-CAN control lever, the cooling set, batteries, propeller, shaft and coupling are not part of the standard delivery. VETUS offers AGM, deep cycle and lithium LFP batteries, and its E-DRIVE configuration guide is the starting point for sizing a battery bank; specify the lever and batteries you need on the quote.
What to expect under way. VETUS gives an indicative energy consumption of 1 kWh at 6 km/h (3.5 knots), and compares the motor to a 22 hp combustion engine, also as an indication. Results differ on every vessel, depending on wind area, displacement, propeller, battery pack size and hull shape, and VETUS notes that the nominal rated power is only achievable under optimum conditions.

V-CAN control levers
Every E-LINE needs one VETUS V-CAN control lever, chosen separately from the motor. The ELPS2 is VETUS's second-generation aluminium lever, with smooth proportional operation and an integrated POWER mode. The ELPSR2 is its second-generation counterpart with ECO mode and control mode locking. The ELCS is a high-grade stainless steel lever with a built-in neutral safety switch and tactile feedback.
MPE1KB key switch
Supplied with the motor. An all-in-one key switch that handles the V-CAN power supply, the external 12 VDC power supply and anti-theft, and engages the V-CAN line with the turn of a key.
MPE1MBV monitoring panel
Supplied with the motor. An aluminium V-CAN panel that shows battery indication, motor alarms and motor status at the helm.
NMEA 2000 monitoring
An optional upgrade for richer data. The CANV2N1 CANverter translates messages on the V-CAN line into NMEA 2000 format for display on NMEA 2000 devices, and the CANNME7 is VETUS's 7-inch multifunction display for electric propulsion, also supplied as part of the EDN2K7 monitoring system set.
