5.0 kVA of Contractor-Grade, EPA Final Tier 4 Diesel Power

The YANMAR YDG5500W-6EI is a portable diesel generator rated at 5.0 kVA continuous and 5.5 kVA maximum at 60 Hz, single-phase at 120/240 V, powered by a YANMAR L100W6-GEY vertical, four-cycle, air-cooled diesel engine. YANMAR describes the YDG-W as contractor grade and EPA Final Tier 4: pure, reliable power.

Silent and steady. YANMAR built the YDG as a silent, compact power source with minimum fluctuations. The YDG5500W-6EI measures approx. 85 dB(A) at 7 m.

Easy to start and to move. A short stroke of the recoil starter brings the engine to life, and auto-return decompression makes starting easier and quicker, even in low temperatures. Recoil and electric starting are both listed. YANMAR says its mobility approaches that of a gasoline generator: the electric-start unit weighs 113 kg / 249 lb and measures 720 mm x 480 mm x 633 mm / 28.3 in x 18.9 in x 24.9 in.

Durable and economical. Durability, versatility and dusk-to-dawn operation are built in, and the 13 L tank gives approx. 6 hours of operation per tankful. Fewer parts mean easy inspections and simple adjustments, and the YDG uses one of the smallest direct-injection, air-cooled diesels in the world, which YANMAR credits with strong fuel savings.
